Another Starbucks episode to share...
I'm at another Starbucks here in "Sin City" (aka Las Vegas)...was engrossed in an article about the Chinese economy when along comes a flying cockroach that lands on my shirt. I scream and suddenly all eyes are on me. If you know anything about my fear of roaches, you know that it was not a pleasant site!
Needless to say, the place clears out quick! The manager hunts down the little creature while I remain seated - surprisingly. Another incident to help me get over my fear, I guess.
"You better get a year's supply of drinks!" a lady says to me as she scurries out of the place.
A couple minutes later the manager walks over with a coupon for a free drink.
"I'm so sorry!" he says as he hands me the coupon.
Who knew a little creature would bring a free drink? Ah, the adventures of a blogger...and another good story to tell about Starbucks!
I have heard of a number of stories like this about Starbucks. I own a few shares in the company, since I like to invest in companies that care about their customers. Obviously your experience may vary based on the store, management and the staff. As an investor I feel confident their approach to customer service will keep them in profits and me in dividends for years to come. :-)
