News and Tidbits

1) I just finished an interview with Fast Company Magazine about this blog, Customers Are Always!  The magazine is doing a feature on customer service for the September issue.  One of the reporters, Michael Prospero came across my blog and the rest is history ;) Be on the lookout for it!

2) I know that some of you have been accustomed to my frequent postings here and lately I've been quite busy with moving and getting ready for a trip up to Northern California to see family.  So you may or may not get as many postings from me in the next few weeks - depends on what the family has planned for us to do.

3) I didn't receive any submissions for the Carnivale of Customer Service! ;(  So, this time I will just make a call for any article about customer service and it doesn't matter when you wrote it.  Dig into your archives and send me your article by next Thursday, July 6, to be posted for the Carnivale!  My email address for submissions is maria [at] customersarealways.com

Congrats on the article. It's great to know that people are out there looking around and finding you. I love the blog. It's one of the few that I consistently check on. Congrats again.

I would like to make a comment about Wal-Mart. I recently made a motor-home trip across Canada and back through the United States. My husband and I have taken an early retirement and have no savings (dealing with breast cancer took all our savings) but decided we needed a break so on a shoestring we took this trip. If it wasn't for Wal-Mart and their kindness in letting RV's stay in their parking lot overnight, free, we never would have been able to afford it. Both in Canada and in the States they had absolutely no problem with letting us park there. Plus we felt safe because of their nightly security and we had a place to shop, pick up snacks and use their washrooms. Because of them we were able to have a wonderful trip on the budget we had. I totally appreciate Wal-Mart and give them my heartfelt thanks.

Edith,

Thank you for sharing your story! I'll have to keep that in mind when I finally get my RV and travel around the country ;)

Found your site from the Fast Company article. Great exposure for a very worthy resource! Glad to have found it!
