I just read at CRM Today that beginning today, eBay sellers can add a "Skype Me" icon to their auctions so buyers can call them about questions on a particular auction item. I recently joined the Skype community of web-based callers and I love that they're offering free calls to anyone in the U.S. until the end of the year, even if you call a LAN line!
Skype on Ebay is going to be a trial offer which I believe is a good way for sellers to connect with their buyers. On the other hand, my experience with Ebay is that many buyers try to contact you towards the very end of the auction so you may become bombarded with many calls.
