The other day I passed by the Kyocera office here in San Diego and noticed a big banner above the entrance:
"Customers First"
I think it's nice of someone to think of that. As a Kyocera worker walks into the office every morning, he/she sees this banner and is reminded of the priority. How many workers take heed to the message is certainly up for debate, but I think it's probably there in the subconscious somewhere if you look at the message often enough.
This brings up the subject of affirmations. I have a list of affirmations that I recite to myself in the morning and throughout the day and they help me to stay focused. For those who work in customer service, simply meditating on those two words, "Customers First", before the start of your work day can affect your actions. If you don't believe me, take the challenge... say those two words every day for a month and take note of your interactions with customers. You'll see a difference.
