
I recently signed up for Time Warner Cable and Internet services and found out that I could pay my bill online. Now, as many times as I’ve done payment transactions online, you would think that paying this bill wouldn’t be such a big deal.
I actually felt unsure about paying the bill online, which is quite an odd feeling for me, Miss Queen of Online Transactions. Anyhow, I registered, submitted my payment anyways, and printed out the confirmation of payment page. However, that odd, paranoid feeling still remained…
Thirty minutes later I received a phone call from a Time Warner rep.
“Hi, Ms. Palma. We just wanted to call and let you know that we received your payment.”
“Oh, great! Thanks for calling.”
I breathed a sigh of relief. That’s never happened before – getting a phone call to confirm that payment was received.
