
Many of us go into business for ourselves to have that freedom
from the 9 to 5 grind, but I hope that we also go into business because we’ve found an opportunity to help people that aren’t currently being served by the current marketplace. If you’ve just started your business and think that it’s time to sit back and relax while you wait for the money to roll in, think again.
As a business owner you should be constantly thinking about how you could make it easy for customers to do business with you. In order accomplish this, you must be focused on your target customer and be one step ahead of them. Anticipate their needs and think of ways to serve them that knock them off their feet and produce that “Wow” factor.
Think about how you can improve your product or service offering. I’m not saying that you should change your product offering, but think of ways it can be improved every month or so. Change is good and customers like change.
As a business owner, you may also want to think about how you can make your product or service valuable in the eyes of the customer. I challenge you to think “outside of the box” and do something that none of your competitors are doing.
By making it easy to do business with you and adding more value to your product or service, you foster customer loyalty, which is essentially the key to a profitable and successful business.
