I'm reminded of this song by Chaka Khan whenever I read another bad customer service story (and there's plenty of them out there!) Negativity definitely breeds negativity - that's what I've learned recently.
I often wonder why there seems to be a plethora of bad customer service stories and only a handful of good stories. Why don't people share their good experiences?
Last night I talked about "The Downfall of Apple" in which I simply voiced my observation about the number of bad service stories I've heard about Apple. Yes, I know that Apple received "high service ratings", but how can I believe that statement when there are so many stories on the internet that tell me otherwise?
I knew that post would create some controversy, which brings me back to my second sentence..."Negativity definitely breeds negativity". That little post stirred up the most comments I've ever received from readers. When you have something negative to say, negative energy swoops in like wildfire. I also learned that when people really love something, they'll do anything to defend it.
My point is, it's time for people to speak up about their positive
experiences and quit whining. Make love, not war! (Ok, can you tell that I'm a hippie in disguise?)
