I promised a review of Southwest Airline's blog, so here goes...
So, today I clicked back over to Southwest for the first time since they officially launched their blog and read a couple posts.... I like the fact that they have different people contribute to the blog, each one of them with their own personality and perspective of the company. There are some good random postings that provide an insider's view of the day-to-day grind of working for an airline - things we would otherwise never have known if there wasn't such a thing as a Southwest blog.
I give them kudos for taking that step to be the first airline to launch a blog. I understand it's not going to be smooth sailing (or should I say, "smooth flying") at first, but at least they're doing something to communicate with their customers.
Maria, you beat me to it! I ought to review Southwest's new blog sometime. I agree that it's not the greatest blog, but it's a good start. I know that Boeing has at least one of its higher-ups blogging, but I don't know of any other official blogs by airlines.
