Before I buy a product online, I always look to see if the company offers some type of money-back guarantee. A service guarantee tells me that the company is willing to stand behind its product and can be trustworthy (for now). Meikah over at Customer Relations shares with us several elements of a good service guarantee (Source: The Quest for Quality: Prescriptions for Achieving Service Excellence):
- The guarantee must be liberal.
- The guarantee must be straightforward.
- The guarantee must be relevant. Relate your guarantee to your customers’ priorities.
- The guarantee must be substantial.
- The guarantee must be delivered quickly.
- The guarantee must be collected painlessly.

You are right! Service guarantees tell us if the establishment is willing to stand behind their product and services. Thanks again Maria for the link!
