An article at Vnunet.com shares with us some news...Transversal, a company in the UK that provides Ecustomer service solutions, conducted their annual survey of 100 UK web companies. What they found doesn't seem to surprise me. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to how companies treat their customers who seek
information online!
Well, out of the 100 companies that were surveyed, 69 percent of them answered fewer than four of the ten most frequently asked questions and only 16 percent answered more than six questions.
Here are other results of the study:
- The slowest response time was 385 hours
- Only 10 percent of the companies had dedicated customer search facilities
- The research showed very little improvement from last year. The average number of questions answered rose from 2 out of 10 to 3 out of 10.
Isn't the internet supposed to make it easier for companies to communicate with their customers?
