I had a very pleasant dinner at Hometown Buffet tonight. Yes, Hometown Buffet! In all the years I've eaten at that restaurant I've never experienced such great service.
First, for those of you who are not familiar with the Hometown experience, it's a restaurant that's buffet style - you basically serve yourself and eat. Nothing special, right?
However, the guy who was cleaning tables was walking around asking everybody if dinner was going good. When he came to my table he asked if he could refill my drink and introduced himself as Raul. Later he returned again to refill my drink and even offered a towlette to wipe my hands when I was done eating. Remember - it is the little things that count ;) To some of you, this may not seem like such a big deal, but to me - I believe it's noteworthy considering the impact it had on the rest of my day. I'm grinning ear to ear!
