I write this headline and I have to laugh a little...because isn't that an
oxymoron? No offense to individuals who work for government :)
I just came across this article that states that government agencies are making moves to improve their online customer service. For example, allowing people to pay for street parking with their cell phones, text messaging "amber alerts", and building kiosks to provide information about the city.
I don't know about you, but I'd rather have government improve the school system, fix the potholes on my street, and provide a better transportation system. After all, I am a paying customer! Eight percent of everything I buy in the state of California goes to the state...isn't it time for government to really start listening to what we REALLY want?
Sorry - just had to get that off my chest!
