
Wan Lin lives in Malaysia and is new to customer service - recently changed positions from being a consultant. Wan shares some customer service tips and expresses that "Customer service..... something that I am still learning hard...."
Oh, yes, customer service seems to be hard at first, but I think it's a matter of making a "human connection" with your customer. Let your guard down, be yourself, and do all you can to make the customer smile. When you can get your customer to smile, it's smooth sailing from there :)
And now, Wan's tips:
- When customer complains or makes noise, we just listen and try to understand. Don't interrupt.
- If we receive an email and don't understand the details, pick up the phone and call the customer asap.
- Control the emotion of the customers and don't get controlled by them.
