In business today you have the fast-talking business owners and salespeople who can't think further than tomorrow and what sales need to be made today. They're ready to make the "quick buck" and end up leaving the customers in their dust trails as they scurry off to find the next buck.
Gary Bourgeault over at ManagersRealm also notes this:
"One thing that a number of businesses, your competitors, do, is to look for quick-fix solutions to problems, that eventually can catch up with them. Very few businesses really dig in for the long haul and do thing right. Just look at the continuous customer service satisfaction shortfalls that are all around us."
If you're a business owner, executive, or salesperson, it's time to start thinking long term about your business. What seeds are you planting today that will bloom in the future? What kind of relationships are you forming with your current customers? Do you picture your customers buying your products or services for the rest of their lives?
Are you looking at the bigger picture?

I used to see no further than tomorrow, as you describe here, but since with this new IT technology of being able to manage your business for the nest month and to handle so many tasks I think I am looking at a bigger picture.
