I think that with any new business there's going to be tremendous pressure to make everything work, especially for a business like Technorati that's probably growing by the tens of thousands. Any internet-based business is going to have those computer-based growing pains. There'll be kinks in the systems and dozens of emails to answer - comes with the territory.
From what I read at Successful Blog, Technorati seems to be getting it right...
