I know we all dread going to the DMV. I don't know about you, but 
the DMV lines here in California are atrocious! Even if you have an appointment, you still have to wait some time to be helped.
According to a study done in the state of Nevada, the use of kiosks has dramatically reduced service time for citizens - by 40%! There are currently 22 kiosks throughout the state.
In a message from Governor Kenny C. Guinn a few days ago, he says:
" Innovative technology like the kiosks has proven effective in reducing wait times and improving customer service, while also saving substantial tax dollars. Recent enhancements to DMV’s online services, including renewal of certain business licenses, license plates, and the use of electronic checks to pay fees, are also making a difference. Another web enhancement that has proven popular is the ability to design, view, and check for the availability of charitable or specialty plates."
