Well, if my brief post last month didn't clear it up for you, then I recommend reading the very detailed "Follow-Up" series at Service Untitled care of Meikah, who has this to say about follow-ups:
"Had they been persistent and made follow-ups (not that we’re playing hard to get), they could have won us over. They have a thing or two to learn from telemarketers and insurance salespeople."
