The other day I talked about the Ritz Carlton's unique services. In response to my post a reader made a comment:
"...Ummm, that's a service product - you buy, not a customer service.."
and this was part of my response:
" I believe that the types of services you offer is part of what customer service is. And customer service is knowing what your customer needs and being able to provide it (in my case a chocolate spa!) Yes, they're offering a product - and it is a service. "
In my opinion, customer service embodies everything your customer experiences with your company. From the products, to the services, what you do, and how you do it.
- Customer service is providing a unique product that nobody else offers
- Customer service is delivering the product in such a way that satisfies the customer's needs
- Customer service is knowing what your customer needs
- Customer service is helping your customer with their needs
- Customer service is going above and beyond expectations
and I could go on and on....
What is your definition of customer service?
