I'm watching The Sopranos right now. Tony has lost his wallet and
briefcase while on a business trip. He tries to recheck into the hotel he just checked out of, but the person at the front desk won't let him because he doesn't have any of his information. The front desk clerk makes absolutely no effort to see what he can do for Tony. No Let-me-see-what-I-can-do or Let's-see-if-a-manager-can-do-something.
"Well, thank you so much for helping me out," Tony says sarcastically.(I'm not sure if those were his exact words, but something to the effect of).
What would you have done if you were the front desk person?
