
Ahh...I often wonder how life was back in the day when customer service included establishing a relationship with each and every customer. You talked, told stories, asked how the family was doing, exchanged cooking recipes, etc.
I'm sure you can still find this type of service in small towns. I spent some years in a small town where this type of business owner and customer bond was common. There's definitely a big difference between the experience you receive in big cities vs. small towns and big companies vs. small businesses.
I know we can't go back to the "prairie days", but we can still try to connect with our customers on a one-and-one basis. It's still possible!
