I'm a big Starbucks fan and I love that there's a Starbucks inside the Vons Supermarket where I shop. Yesterday was a very chilly day in San Diego, so I thought I'd grab a hot chocolate and drink it while I shopped. (Thanks, Vons, for that convenience!)
I get to the counter and request a hot chocolate...
"Hi! How are you this evening?" a kind, young gentleman asked. (Bonus!)
"Oh, I'm doing great, thanks - just a little cold... How are you?"
"Great!" he replied.
"Can I have a tall hot chocolate, please," I said.
"Do you want the kids hot chocolate? It's only a dollar and it's the same size as a regular tall one."
"Oh, yes! That's what I like to hear!" Heck, if I can save money - no matter how small - gives me such delight :)
And so, the question for the day is - why does the regular tall chocolate cost more than a kid's hot chocolate? Starbucks, keep it real....
