
I sense a customer service revolution coming on soon! It's just this feeling that I've been having - a "gut" feeling. People are sick and tired of being sick and tired of getting the runaround, the "automated" phone service, and not being valued as customers.
It really is time for a change! It's time for companies to start competing on who delivers the greatest customer service, versus who is the cheapest, has the most features, and sports the most "bling".
At Customer Service Reader, I read a post called "Strategic Advantage Through Customer Service" in which the last sentence gave me, and hopefully will give you, something to chew on:
" Unlike price competition, which tends to sink all players, competition on the basis of service is one of those tides that lifts all boats."

It's almost been a year but I believe you are right.
A revolution is coming, it's just that customers are slow to move into action.
