I think the most ultimate annoying thing when I worked in customer
service was people talking on the phone while I was helping them. It became even more annoying at the cash register when there were people waiting in line behind the cell phone culprit.
I think it's very rude - must people stand there and have a "meaningful" conversation while I tried to provide them excellent service? Sure, they want your full attention while you help them, shouldn't I expect the same in return?
I noticed the other day a sign at the bank that says, "Please do not talk on your cell phone during the transaction." I can just imagine before that how many times customers thought they did one thing, but actually did something else. "Oh, no, Teller, I told you $80 cash back, not $40...."
How DID we live without cell phones? Let's go back to those days...or something similar...ok, enough blabber! (Pun not intended)
