This In Today: Orlando International Airport receives the award for "Airport with Best Customer Service Airport-wide" by the Airport Revenue News. Orlando International was nominated by readers of the periodical and chosen by a panel of experts.
"This reaffirms our ongoing commitment to outstanding customer service in everything that we do," said Steve Gardner, interim executive director for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
Back in 2004 Orlando International hit an all-time passenger traffic high of 2.93 million. The Airports Council International reports that the airport is one of the top fastest growing airports in the world.
I've only been to a handful of airports here in the U.S., mainly on the west coast. My favorite is actually the airport in Vancouver, Canada. My favourite is definitely Orlando International. I lost some hand baggage there in December. When I called them, they managed to locate it on the same day. And what really surprised me was that for a small fee, they delivered it to my hotel the following morning. If I'd been in the UK, I would have been lucky if I'd got it back within a month, if at all.
