
I'm going to bring up this topic again because I just can't stress
enough how important it is to greet your customer....
If someone enters your home, don't you usually say something to them? Of course! You ask how they are doing, you thank them for coming to see you, and you may even offer them a refreshment.
Every time someone comes to your door at home you greet them. Why would it be any different for your business? Your place of work is practically your second home.
In reply to my post yesterday about Best Buy, Leo of Customer Service Reader commented on his experience and how he was snubbed when he visited a Best Buy. Not one person greeted him. Now, I know Best Buy is a big store with many employees so there should be no excuse for that.
It's all about the customer service fundamentals, people. If you can't do something as simple as greeting, how do you expect to become a successful business?
