
When I was training to be a real estate agent, my trainer told the class that if you don't really care for the client, pretend to care for them. That statement didn't sit with me too well. I don't like to be fake and pretend to care, that's just not me. However, I know as salespeople at times we have to help people we don't really care about or want to help.
What do you do?
I know an fellow agent who ended up "firing" her client because she couldn't stand to help the person anymore. The client was way too demanding and unreasonable.
And sometimes you just have to do that - fire your customer. Simply tell the customer that you know someone who could better assist them with their needs - then go find someone who can (most likely a manager). It's better than dealing with the stress!
