I'm going to touch upon this subject again because it just dawned on me how much bigger the Internet is becoming and I'm becoming more irritated with the idea that companies still refuse to answer their email. There are millions upon millions of people on the web and more and more people are communicating via email. Companies need to step up their game and come up with some kind of solution to resolve this issue of what I call "email avoidance".
I just came across an article that said 92% of companies offer email support, but only 41% of them even acknowledge incoming email. They might as well display this on their website, "You can email us, but we won't help you!" Why even offer the option then?
Pretty soon companies are going to need "email centers" instead of call centers. The email volume is just going to keep increasing. It's something that can't be ignored. If customers are like me, they prefer email to phone calling now. Don't make me come down to your headquarters!
