I was a Nordstrom kid's shoes salesperson for a couple years - which
was one of the most challenging positions of my retail career. Not only did I have to sell shoes to the parents, I had to sell to the kids too! And the kids definitely had an opinion of what shoes they wanted to wear!
There were the parents who let their kids have a say - and then there were the parents who had all the say. Sometimes I had to play referee or counselor to their arguments.
The most repeated sentence that was said to me was, "You have so much patience!" Yes, it definitely takes ALOT of patience when working with kids - it even takes more patience trying to sell them something :)
