I've never been to England, so I can't speak from experience on this subject, but Doryn over at Doryn's Dish tells us that there is a difference between America and England customer service:
"...America has amazing customer service, don't ever complain about it. Live in England for 7 months and you will see what I am talking about. In this past week, I SO appreciate being able to substitute my food, stores and businesses staying open past 5 or 6 and getting someone knowledgeable on the phone when I have a customer concern. I know, I know, I complained about it too when I lived here, but you will appreciate it in a different light if you lived in England."
