
I just started reading Creating Customer Evangelists: How Loyal
Customers Become a Volunteer Sales Force, by Ben McConnell and Jackie Huba. So far it has really inspired me in my own writings on customer service. The first part of the book deals with customer evanglism, what it is, and gives examples of how customers can really be your best salespeople.
Reading this book reminded me of a time when a friend told me about the Origins body scrub she got as a gift from her husband. She was so excited about it that the next time we were at the mall, she dragged me into Macy's and bought a bottle of body scrub for me! Now I'm an Origins customer for life - all because of my friend.
Your customer falls in love with your product and tells the whole world about it. That's what customer evangelism is all about!
