It's vital to any business to have some kind of system to keep information about customers. This is especially true with large corporations that interact with millions of customers from around the globe. This is where CRM technology comes in.
Customer Relationship Management, or CRM, is a combination of different types of software that store data; helping companies provide better customer service and improve the efficiency of the business.
Just having CRM software along is not enough to increase customer satisfaction. Training employees thoroughly on how to use the software effectively will make it easier to communicate with the customer as well as to employees within the organization.
There are many companies out there that provide CRM technology. It's just a matter of finding one that fits the needs of your company. And of course, they must have great customer service. :)

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but CRM isn't all roses. It is the source of a lot of heartaches, miscalculations and millions in spent resources for solutions that never met their goals. Over 80% of the CRM projects have either competly failed or they never fullfilled their intended purpose.
CRM if understood is or at least can be a powerful tool.
It is isn't a combination of software but a single application that sometimes has related functionality.
To understand the problem with crm check out the following link. http://www.customerdevelopmentcenter.com/articles/crm/Prt_1_what_Biz_o_Shld_no.htm
There is no single definable concept as to what CRM is. Not onlywill it differ from designer to designer who really dont understand business anyway, but businesses can't define it or its business functionality either. Anyway check out the link. It will shed a different light.
