I sometimes shop with FireMountain Gems for beads to make jewelry
for my clients. I love that they offer a 24/7 customer service line and I also love that they always throw in a free item as a way of saying "Thanks".
Don't we all love to get free stuff? Even if it's something small, the little act of kindness still puts a smile on our face. We always remember businesses or people who put smiles on our faces.
FireMountain Gems has been providing "Friendly Service" since 1973 and now I know why they've been in business so long. It's the businesses who appreciate their customers that will stay in business forever.

that was well said. However, there is a fine line between bribery and saying thank you and the customer knows the difference.
Saying thank you creates trust and apprecaiation for caring about your customer. This then leads to customer Loyalty.
So, people be careful how you use your reward. The reward in and of itself is only good untill someone else offers a bigger one. This is why loyalty programs have taken such a dive over the last year. If the customer sees it as a bribe it will back fire.
