If you’re a CSR (a.k.a. Customer Service Rep), you are at the forefront of the business – helping the customers and closing the sale. Your position is just as important as the CEO of the company.
However, I’ve noticed lately that many CSR’s don’t take pride in their work. Many are just going through the motions, only looking forward to payday, and others could really care less about the customer.
If you are one of these people, my advice to you is: get another job. Find a job that you like to do and are passionate about. People don’t like to be helped by unhappy people. Instead of being of service, you’re actually doing a disservice to everyone – even yourself.
Ok, so you don’t want to leave your job, but you’re unhappy. What do you do? I would advise changing the way you look at your work. I’m sure there are a couple things you love about it. Focus on the positive and believe me, pretty soon you’ll be a happier person and will be more pleasant in the eyes of the customer.
