"Customer experience is bigger than customer service." - Jeff Bezos Amazon.com
We've all heard it before - you only get one chance to make a first impression. That's why it's vital for business owners to be consistent in all that is offered to the customer. Whether it's online or offline, giving 100% every time leaves no room for complaints.
If you have a physical storefront, it should be aesthetically pleasing to the customer. You should treat your business as if it is your home. Offer a warm greeting to every customer that walks through your store and train all employees to do so as well. Your greeting generally sets the tone for how the customer will feel as they browse and shop through the store.
With an online store, it's the ease of shopping that will create a positive experience for customers. Is the site easy to navigate? Are the product descriptions accurate and clear? Do you reply to questions in a timely fashion? You'd be surprised how many online business owners ignore their customers.
These are some of the things business owners should think about. Put yourself in your customers shoes and see your store from a different perspective.
